Cozy Kabocha Squash Turmeric Soup
Kabocha squash is one of our favorite types of squash, also known as Japanese pumpkin . Combined with coconut milk, it makes a creamy squash turmeric soup. It's richer and creamier than butternut squash and tastes a little bit more like pumpkin and sweet potato than other squashes (but, if you can't find it, you can sub butternut squash for this recipe). And, it makes this soup extra creamy and rich! One of our favorite ways to make kabocha squash is to slice it in wedges,

Crispy Delicata Squash Rings
These squash rings are made with our favorite, delicata squash. Delicata squash is breaded in a tasty grain free breading that we make with almond flour, sesame seeds and lots of delicious spices. Holiday Kale Waldorf Salad
This holiday kale waldorf salad has all the components of a perfect salad: the crunch factor, acidity, and a little bit of sweet. Although it's a spin on the traditional waldorf salad recipe, we know you'll love this version that incorporates the classic apple and walnuts with the added layer of chopped kale. Plus, it just looks beautiful and pops with color for a holiday spread, thanks to dried cranberries and fresh pomegranate seeds if you can get them! We also lighten u

Greek Ribboned Cucumber Salad
This is an easy one! We promise! If you're short on time or just don't want to turn on the oven to cook anything in the heat of summer, this greek salad makes a quick, easy and super delicious dinner. We love using a veggie peeler to make vegetables into beautiful ribbons. It's sort of a blend between spiralized veggies and thick pasta noodles. But, you don't need any special spiralizer gadgets, just a regular old vegetable peeler (make sure it's a good one). Pull the pee

Grilled Peaches with Yogurt and Dukkah
There's nothing like a sweet, juicy peach in the summer. With an abundance of peaches around, we think it's nice to make a savoury peach recipe instead of another peach cobbler or crisp. Although we do have a delicious recipe for peach cobbler , in case you want a more classic peachy recipe. The good news is, you don't actually need a real grill to make this recipe! All you need is a cast iron grill pan. And, if you don't have one of those, you can simply sear the peaches

Scrappy Soup (veggie scrap soup)
We've been saving all our veggie scraps because we're extra conscious of preventing food waste these days, with concerns over food access during covid-19. Since many of us try to get groceries delivered or only venture out to the grocery store once every 2 weeks, it means that the longer we can make fresh food last at home the better. If you cook vegetables that usually leave you with scraps, such as peels and skins or tough stalks, don't throw them away! Collect them in a
Roasted Radicchio and Yellow Beet Salad with Blood Orange
Roasted radicchio, yellow beets and blood orange come together in this salad recipe. It's a late winter salad, that's partially cooked and accented with fresh ingredients. The blood oranges makes this a really special salad, since they're only available for a short window of time in late winter each year (at least in our part of the world). If you don't have access to blood oranges, you can swap in another variety, or even regular navel oranges will do just fine. We used d

Sage, Walnut and Cauliflower Stuffed Butternut Squash
The seasons are a changing! While we're caught between the sunny end of summer days and the chilly mornings of September and approaching autumn, squash and root veggies are moving onto our plates. Peach Rhubarb Grain Free Paleo Muffins
Juicy peaches in the summer are something that we always look forward to since they're only available for such a short window of time. This year we decided to combine peaches with locally grown rhubarb to make these delicious, subtly sweet muffins. Scientists have found that peaches may even contain some anticancer properties, thanks to the antioxidant caffeic acid that's found in peaches. The tart rhubarb pairs perfectly with sweet peach. Japanese Inspired Gomae Broccoli
We will always love broccoli, whether it's in a stir fry, steamed and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and some quality sea salt, or roasted in the oven. But this recipe with earthy toasted sesame seeds, the sweet and salty balance of tamari and coconut sugar, rounded out with the bite of rice vinegar makes an epic broccoli dish. Inspired by the Japanese dish called Gomae, we've replaced some of the traditional ingredients that are sometimes tricky to find. Broccoli ha
Gluten Free Greek Pasta Salad
With summer almost here, we've been shifting the type of food we're eating to lighter, fresher dishes. It's what our clients have been craving on their weekly menus too, so we're creating more salads filled with crispy, raw veggies, fresh herbs, and flavorful dressings. Inspired by the traditional Greek salad, we've taken cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives, red onion and dill and paired them with gluten free pasta and a creamy tahini lemon dressing. Tahini is such a great w

This soba noodle salad is the perfect combo of fresh, crisp veggies with tender soba noodles. You can always swap in other vegetables if you don't have the exact ones listed below. Feel free to use regular orange carrots or the more common pink radishes if you can't find the watermelon variety. And, if you don't like cilant
Winter Radicchio, Blood Orange & Fennel Salad
We eat a lot of cooked veggies in the winter, but sometimes there's nothing like a refreshing salad in the winter, especially with the sweet and sour bite of blood oranges. This salad is very hearty and holds up well in the fridge, so you can prep a large batch in advance and keep it for a few days. Winter Radicchio, Blood Orange & Fennel Salad 1 radicchio, sliced 1 fennel, sliced in thin pieces or shaved (you can use mandolin or food processor slicer setting) 1/2 English

This recipe is one we've made for both kids and adults because it's not only a fun way to eat your broccoli, but a tasty way! These fritters can be served with breakfast too, alongside eggs or even on their own. But, our favorite way to eat them is with dinner, as a vegetarian, gluten free main or as a tasty side dish to add into an omnivore meal. If you like onion or shallots, you could add a handful of them into these fritters for more flavor. We love drizzling tahini
